Help with a possessive dog?

Mostly all dogs tend to be possessive over food or items they chew on. Over time, try to move his food while he's eating and try to tell him to sit repetitively till he does so and then sit it back down. If you're positive that he will bite you while you're attempting to do this then ask him to sit before you put down his meal if he doesn't already do so. You can also try saying "bad boy" every time he growls at you in a somewhat stern voice so he learns that his behavior is by no means acceptable.
